Bringing women into the world financial system more fully and fairly is one of the historic challenges facing the global economy. Though including women as economic contributors is known to promise important benefits for all nations, the barriers to financial participation remain a particularly daunting challenge. From providing savings accounts for poor women to breaking the glass ceiling in financial careers, the need to change both formal and informal practices comes up against prohibitions and precepts that were centuries in the making. We welcome the courageous and creative Power Shift thinkers to engage once more in crafting the way forward.
The invitation-only Power Shift Forum brings together leaders from the private sector, public sector, and civil society, in order to assemble a high-level and engaged group of participants committed to better inclusion of women in the world economy.
